The 4th Kaleidoscope LGBT Film & Culture Festival, presented by Here TV, returns to the Argenta Arts District on Friday, August 10th and runs through Saturday, August 18th.  This year’s festival will screen 13 feature films from around the world.  Of the 13 features, 8 are directed by females accounting for 61% of our feature film slate. 

Our feature films lineup, programmed by Kaleidoscope Artistic Director Mark Thiedeman, consists of 7 narratives and 6 documentaries, including the US premiere of Obscuro Barroco which won the Teddy Jury Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. The Teddy Award is one of the most prestigious LGBT film awards in the world.

We The Animals, Directed by Jeremiah Zagar, is our Opening Night Film. We The Animals premiered Sundance Film Festival in January where it won the NEXT Innovator Award and recently won the Grand Jury Award at Outfest.

The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Directed by Desiree Akhaven, is our Closing Night Film.  Cameron Post, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Film.

TransMilitary, Directed by Gabriel Silverman & Fiona Dawson, is another documentary highlight screening at Kaleidoscope.  It premiered at SXSW where is won Best Documentary Feature and screened at Outfest, winning Outstanding Documentary Feature.

The rest of our lineup includes 1985, Antonio Lopez 1970: Sex, Fashion and Disco, Good Manners, M/M, Queerama, Shakedown, Skate Kitchen, Tranny Fag (Bixa Travesty), and The Wild Boys. These award winning films have screened at some of the biggest film festivals in the world including Berlinale, Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Frameline, Outfest, Venice, Fantastic Fest, Hot Docs, and many more.  Details on each film will be posted soon.

All films will be screened at the Argenta Community Theater between August 10-18, 2018. Passes are now available for sale at Individual ticket sales will begin soon with the full festival schedule on Monday, July 30.
